Mariam holds two master’s degrees in law, one from outside the Irish jurisdiction and the other from the University College Cork. She also holds a BL. degree and a LLB degree. In addition, Mariam holds a Legal Secretarial Diploma in Irish law in the areas of family law, criminal law, and civil litigation.

Mariam has five years’ experience working as a legal counsel outside of the Irish jurisdiction where she represented clients in the oil and gas sector.

Prior to continuing her legal career in Ireland, Mariam volunteered in her local community in Cork.  She was involved with the Irish Immigrant Support Centre Cork (Nasc) and on two occasions was elected as chairperson of the board.

She commenced her training in a general practice firm and gained experience in litigation, probate, and conveyancing. Mariam completed her training in Thomas Coughlan & Co. Solicitors, and gained further experience in Immigration, family, civil and criminal litigation.

Mariam was admitted into Roll of solicitors in 2020.
